Our Director Eileen Mac Mahon graduated with a Bachelor of Social Worker at RMIT in 1992. Since that time she has worked predominantly in Children and family services and Child Protection. She has held several management positions and in 2019 completed her Cert IV in Training and Assessment.  In 2022 she has completed a Graduate Certificate in Adult Vocational Education and Training at Deakin University. She has experiences in Family violence, including the accredited training provided by the Victorian government, mental health, especially in trauma informed care, child abuse and exploitation. Eileen launched Earlvention in 2022 as a way of promoting primary prevention in the area of child abuse and Family violence. She is passionate about the safety of children and ensuring the voices of children are heard. She has a strong belief that every member of society has a role to keep children safe and there needs to be more training to ensure individuals have the skills to respond when situations arise.  There is a need to change community attitudes to address power and gender inequality and we all play a very important role in this. Her vision is that Earlvention will raise these important issues, encourage discussion and change attitudes.
